Flexibility
We’ll adopt a flexible approach to each week and the emphasis of instruction will be somewhat dependant on the
interests and skill level of the group and the prevailing snow conditions and weather.
Off-piste special equipment
We lend each skier an
avalanche transceiver if you need one and provide group snow shovels, probes and harnesses as required. Other technical
equipment such as ropes are provided as required. You will need to rent touring skis and skins but we normally recommend
you use your regular down hill boots.
Packed lunch provided
Scrummy
baguettes and other goodies are on hand for you to build your own packed lunch for the hill.
Fitness Levels/Age Restrictions
No apologies – this will be a ski hard, play hard week so be fit before you arrive. We’ll even email you
a recommended fitness programme. We’ll ask you to submit a Health Declaration form. You need to be at least 18 years
of age. There is no upper age limit. We had a number of 50+ year olds join us in '05 and '06.
Insurance
You’ll need insurance to
cover you for off-piste guided skiing/ski touring, repatriation if you get hurt and cancellation/curtailment in case you have
to cancel your booking. See www.snowcard.co.uk or www.thebmc.co.uk. We also recommend purchasing the French carte neige piste once in-resort. This
is very cheap and it helps to get you off the pisted slopes quickly without hassle. Bring a new European Health Card with
you (that replaces the E111)
